Load Frequency Robust Control Considering Intermittent Characteristics of Demand-Side Resources

چکیده
Renewable energy has the characteristics of low carbon and environmental protection compared to traditional water thermal power, but it also intermittency uncertainty that power does not have. These make inertia system increase, which greatly affects frequency stability grid. To solve such problems, participation demand-side resources (DSRs) in dispatch systems become a viable solution. However, unlike generation-side resources, DSRs have their own unique characteristics. In this paper, by taking into account load control (LFC) with intermittent robust H? problem are discussed detail.A controller coordinate side resource is introduced. A critical criterion performance evaluation new LFC was carried out. Finally, simulation results based on provided demonstrate proposed strategy can effectively improve robustness grid under large disturbances, thus allowing return reference value.

An MILP Formulation for Load-Side Demand Control
This paper presents a mixed integer linear programming formulation for load-side control of electrical energy demand. The formulation utilizes demand prediction to determine if control actions are necessary, and it schedules both shedding and restoration times based on an optimization model that minimizes the net cost of load shedding. Operational constraints are satisfied through the use of mi...
متن کاملTransmission Congestion Management Considering Uncertainty of Demand Response Resources’ Participation
Under the smart grid environment, demand response resources (DRRs) are introduced as a virtual power plant to enhance power system adequacy. DRRs often fail to reduce their load due to some external factors. In this paper, a reliability model of a DRR is constructed as multi-state conventional generation units, where the probability, frequency of occurrence, and departure rate of each state can...
متن کاملCost-based Unit Commitment Considering Demand-side Resources with Harmony Search Algorithm
Integrated resource planning has been performed by electric companies, because of its multifarious benefits in power system operation. Demand Response Resources (DRRs) can be used as a virtual demand side power plant. DRRs are clustered to IncentiveBased Programs (IBPs) and Time-Based Rate Programs (TBRPs). Precise modeling of DRRs helps the system operator to investigate the impact of responsi...
متن کاملFair load-side control for frequency regulation in smart grids
Frequency control rebalances supply and demand while maintaining the network state within operational margins. It is implemented using fast ramping reserves that are expensive and non-renewable, and which are expected to grow with the increasing penetration of renewables. The most promising solution to this problem is the use of demand response, i.e. load participation in frequency control. Yet...

Bevrani, Hassan (2004) Decentralized robust load-frequency control synthesis in restructured power systems. Preface This dissertation is mainly focused on technical issues associated with load-frequency control (LFC) in restructured power systems. Operating the power system in a deregulated environment is more complex than in the past, due to the considerable degree of interconnection and the p...
